I have a home made log splitter from my grandfather he gave me a husco 5000 valve to put on it. I hook up to the inlet and outlet but it won't bypass in neutral not quite sure why any help would be great.

It most likely a closed center valve....You can probably get parts to rebuild it...might even be as easy as removing a center plug by the tank port....I'll look up Husco and take a look at it....

Yes...you can use the valve after some minor modifications.....
It seems like you need to remove a Closed Center plug....
