Husky 562 xp

blue, how much wood has it cut? It looks great!
It was fairly new when those pics were takin. I cut around 15-20 cords a year and do some logging, but have other saws that get used too. So it's hard to say how much, but it's cut at least 15 cords and dropped a number of larger trees. I sold my larger 75cc Husky after running the 562 for a year, if that means anything...

I'm not knocking the ms361, it was one of Stihl's best saws. But when I compared this 562 to a buddies 361, the Husky was noticeably faster in the cut.

my dealer says its close to a 372 or ms441 stihl and he sells both so thats good news that you are comparing it to a 75cc husky:) thsnks for all your info

I almost forgot.
WITH a 20 inch bar:)
I would imagine 24-28 372/441 would pull away

My 75cc was stronger and faster, but a lot heavier. Yes, 20" on my 562, but it'll pull a 24" just fine. I rarely need more than a 20" though.

This is a tractor site. There are much larger chainsaw sites out there. ;)

I'd recommend doing a muffler mod to your 361 before you buy another saw the same size.

I like the 562, but mostly because I bought my 50cc pro shindaiwa from a guy who needed cash after he bought a 562. Full wrap, big dogs, 28" lite bar, and they got him for over $1200! Sold me the shindaiwa 488 with 3 new chains and a gallon of bar oil for $60 to make rent.

Best part was when I said "that's a nice 60cc saw, I like that size (having a 361 myself)" and he said, "no it's way bigger than that"

I moved to a 562xp from a 55 Rancher and the 562 is night and day compared to it. I just cut firewood but love the saw so far. Starts easy and it is good on gas.

If you havent muffler modded the 361 you are only cutting with a turd still. Those dont come alive till muffler modded. Very choked down from factory. Remember to retune carb then too.

Learn to work on your on saws. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/index.php
