husqvarna 25 hp briggs 48'' cut hydro

hello all,i am having a problem with a very good mower,there seems to be no throttle control at all,engine roars to avery high rpm. i have dissasembled the bottom part of the engine to view the govener.seems to be nothing wrong??i disassembled the carb and cleaned,again no visable problemsany help would be greatly appreciated. 21 hp. sorry

I feel for you. I have every problem under the Sun with my Husqvarna except what you have. My guess is you are getting air in the carb from somewhere causing it to lean out and Rage. Or maybe the needle and seat is stuck enought to dump a bunch of fuel in the carb to make it Rage., In any event, I think Husqvarna is a Glorified Murry. I could have bought a Cub for the same price and it will actually go backwards if you want it to.. Husky? Junk!! sorry...

What do you mean by it will actually go backwards if you want it? Mine has no problem going backwards.

I would check your hoses, leaking gaskets and your carb. This **** ethanol crap wreaks havock on the carbs.

Can you actually see the governor pushing on the throttle lever? Have you checked the main jet to see if it has vibrated out of the chamber, giving you a large amount of fuel. If that is the case, I doubt that it will idle. Is your throttle cable stuck in the max position.
