Husqvarna R322T AWD mower. Any Good? Got one?

Well.................brand new here and just want to sign up. Bought a new place last summer with a pretty steep hill all around 2/3's of the property, it is just over an acre. There is a steep hill down to a boat channel with no flat spot to turn around in and the ol' JD L150 went in once (first time I mowed it) and gets stuck quite often at the bottom when trying to turn out to the left or right. After much consideration, research and thought of going swimming with the JD again I found the 322 and it looks to be exactly what I need. It is showing up at the house later today.

Congratulations on your new mower. I am sure you will be happy with it.
I have been extremely happy with my R322T AWD. I have the 48 inch side discharge & the snow blower, I have been very surprised how good it is in snow.
No need for chains it goes like a tank.

I sprayed the bottom of mower deck with FLUID FILM I have been using it to prevent rust but not on mower deck before. I did use it on the snow blower on my Satoh Beaver S370. I used a undercoating sprayer to install it as it is real thick.

Have used my new machine twice. It handles the hills great going down then backing back up the incline. It doesn't like to turn on an incline as it rolls easier than the old JD. I am still getting used ti it and will post as time goes on.

I just took delivery of r422ts Awd (in the UK) - the machine is fantastic, gets up and down my 20 degree plus hills like a goat, it was able to cut almost anything I have including some very steep banks, and was completely solid. Agree turning on more than 15 deg or so is not a good idea, the only salvation being it is not such a big machine that you can't rescue the situation by sticking a leg out (not the way the book reads...). I have been using bx24 and compared to that the husky is a dream for manoeuvrability and stability. Of course it doesn't do a ton of stuff the bx24 can, but when it comes to mowing tricky areas, this is it. Thoroughly recommended.

Had to use the leg anti-roll attatchment three times the first time and only once the second time Brit. How much did you pay for the anti-roll device?? Mine came as standard equipment.

Anti roll attachment is very flexible but a bit fragile so I prefer not to rely on it! I also have the tilt meter option "puck-o-matic".

Hmmmmmm............have a puck-o-matic too. Once I figured the 'tilt' points it doesn't puck up quite so bad. The blades are not as tough as I thought. There lots of small sticks, bark, etc. the John Deere just shrugged at which this machine hiccups on. Looks like I am going to get familiar with sharpening the blades more than I care to.

Re: blades.

Look into the Oregon Gator blades. Much tougher! They are almost like bush hog blades. I mowed over a piece of a piece of 1/2" rebar, while there was a it of damage to the cutting edge it was nowhere near as severe as I expected.

Just had the 8 hour service performed. Is the tranny reservoir supposed to be full or at least have some fluid in it?

Never mind...........answered the question myself!!! Works a lot better when there is the liquid to make it work correctly. Don't know if I will be going back to that place again!!!!

Nice catch HillCutterIII. Sometimes you just gotta wonder about the quality of the help nowadays, or if some dealers aren't setting you up to spend even more $$$.

Hi all, new to the forum. The Husqvarna 322T AWD mower seems like the ideal mower for our yard (slightly hilly). No local dealers stock them so if I decided to buy one I would probably have to special order it. I was wondering how some of you owners like your mower and if there are any maintenance issues?

Frequent reader, new poster. After reading through this thread and a few other reviews I've seen online, I pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered an R322T (w/48" side discharge) and the flail deck. I was at $6500 + tax for both. Will take about a week to arrive. Couldn't find any dealer in the area that had sold/serviced anything in the mower series (120 to 322) so I delayed the decision for a couple of months. There isn't much else out there that would meet my needs. I have a small orchard, mow tall grass around some farm buildings, and have some steep ditches. This seems like the perfect package.

Congrrats! post up your experience when you get a few hours on it if you don't mind .
