I have a YTH1848XP and love it. Mows great and have had no problems with it (other than mice trying to eat it). No issues at all in reverse. I also bought mine from a dealer and not a box store so I a choice of engines and went with the Kawasaki. Best choise I made worth the extra cash.

I actually got 2 mechanics involved and they are Husq. Dealers. They say, Nothing can be done. I looked at the linkage and I could cut the rod and take out about 1/8" and weld it back together and Hope it would help. They tell me not to waste my time. Mine is a YHT2554 or something like that. Anyway I wish I would have bought a K-Mart mower instead.
