Likely probability to the cause of no oil in the engine pump is due to the inlet pipe, larger of the two, is not sealed/seated in the pump. This happens when the suction tube is jarred. The clamp under the fuel tank on the bell housing is supposed to keep it in position.
You can loosen the clamp, remove the pressure line from the pump and remove the pump. Inspect the suction pipe and the sealing oring for damage or signs of being out of position.
If all looks good, grease the oring, reassemble and try, BUT, if the pump has been running dry for any amount of time, it's probably worn out and needs to be replaced.
well i found the problem drive gear on camshaft bolt backed out with pin so now have to split to see if i can fix the dam thing
