Hyd saw

Hey Guys
Do any of you know the name of the hyd drive rotary saw that goes on a skid steer? I saw 1 a year or so ago and we are running into trees too large to mulch for our horse trail network. Any help would be much appreciated

There is a guy in Oklahoma that makes cheaper tree shears. 13" cut up to 17" with two or three bites. Not as nice as the full "proffesional" units but looks like it will do for what I need fine. It is made by Wolff manufacturing, small operation. He runs ads on Ebay. Runs ~3500$ I am getting a bale spear also and the top guard. The "pro" models from othe companies are nice, but start at 6500$ and then add the options. They are real nice but I can not justify that for 1/2 mile driveway building and maintenance.

Thats not terrible my brushwolf was 4 grand or so at least with those 2 attachments i can do alot of side stuff when projects done /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I did not know the price, but my father said it was a LOT. More than he cared to say.

Lets just say that we have cut about 400 trees with it and the cost per tree is still well over $10 per tree.

We have just had it set up (also was expensive) for a new Kubota M9000 loader, so in the last few weeks in has been more useful than with the older tractor that we couldn't keep running. It works fairly well though. Maybe it will pay for itself some day. It is a good match for cedar clearing.

got the price info sat in the mail 12500 PLUS freight for the unit ! I will have to have alot of work lined up for that baby before I can shell out that kinda $$$$$$$ /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Ours cost a little over $5000 about 5 years ago.

Yes, that's about what I was quoted 4-5 years ago. I didn't buy cuz I thought that was high, guess I should have and resold it now, good investment huh.
