just skimmed your thread. personally prefer use of a backhoe. why? because i can angle left or right, and then reach in / out away from tractor. to position bucket that has a welded "hook" on it. that i can wrap chain onto. and then a noose / tree grubber like device on end of chain. to place on wooden post, metal post. and pending on your tree stump grubber device (jaws) could easily grab tent stakes. also backhoe allows me to swing the hoe left or right and drop post onto a trailer or into some better area "out of the weeds" along a fence line for example. to be picked up later on. one extra thing with backhoe i can push/pry post left right, backwards forwards, and kinda wiggle it out some what, vs having to move the tractor all about to attempt to align stuff up.
renting a small mini ex. (mini excavator) = (backhoe that is on tracts or tires) can be fairly cheap, and if tents move all over the place. 1/2 day work if that can be fairly cheap pending if you take your time to call around. only issue some places might not have anything.
there are some "kits" for diy backhoes out there.
====================
there are some diy "post pounders" here on the forum. which is basically a slide hammer. a hyd cylinder setup as a 1 way cylinder. power up. no power down. raises a heavy weight like an iron up. then lets it free fall down onto top of the post. and just pounds the post into the ground. in essence an automatic sledge hammer. if ya look at some builds, you might be able to figure out a way to reverse the sledge hammer effect to tap the stakes backup up out of the ground. if your tractor does not have enough umph to pull stakes directly out.
a word of caution pulling stakes up via 3pt hitch, keep things "low" and as close to rear of tractor as possible or you risk a roll over much easier. as in front wheels coming up off the ground. and you flipping backwards. "been there done that with near misses" if you use 3pt hitch, just go with a straight draw bar, with nothing sticking out beyond that. to reduce chance of flipping tractor.
you might look at "vertical" wood splitters. if anything reverse hoses on the hyd cylinder. so you get correct direction of power.
===================
log splitter demantalling. = engine, hyd pump, hyd cylinder, track = basicly the main beam. then get yourself a hand cart / dolly. tact weld some engine mounts and hyd cylinder and hyd pump to the cart. and just wheel the entire contraption over to tent stake. slide / grab tent stake with something. and turn on engine and hit a lever to let the machine pull everything up and out. might advise beefing up the hand cart or just building a metal hand cart. to withstand the pressures of everything.
===================
do a search for " tree stump " pulling.
A frames = 2 metal pipes basicly creating an upside down V, with loop at the very top for... chain / cable, with a tree gruber or like to attack to base of stump. the A frame creates a leaver / fulcrum that causes lifting power in an upward direction vs horiztal direction, and you could hook up chain to a tractor or to a vehicle
===================
Tractor Attachments And Skid Steer Attachments For Any Tractor Or Skid Steer has a very wide range of attachments for tractors, vs trying to dig through internet of what some manufacture might already have. you might find some ideas *shrugs*
====================
a farmers jack, its tall 4 to 6 feet in height. find at most farm stores. i said farm stores not local hardware stores. kinda of pain to wrap / unwrap chains around fence posts to pull them. along with keeping jack and post from falling over when you almost have post out of the ground, but it does the job.
====================
i am not sure if a cable wench, like you might find mounted to some trucks / tractors. could pull a post directly up and out. or less you used some block and tackle to up the strength. it would be a bit slow but "shrugs" other words a forklift but without the forks.
======================
with everything above, i am for use of a backhoe or a mini excavator. you can be an arm chair commander then. pin pointing directly were ya need to. without all the fuse of move backwards/foward to try and align tractor up just pefect to get things attached to a tent stake or fence post.
