Has anyone used a Woods Hydra_Boost Hydraulic boom pole? I have a 24 HP Rural King and wanted to be able to lift bulk sacks off a trailer.
Any expectations on what the weight limits would be?
thanks,

I had never heard of a hydra boost boom pole before your post. I did a google search and looked at some photos.
It made me think of a engine hoist cherry picker on a 3PH mounting system. Interesting concept. I did not see any specs for it so no ideal on lifting capacity.
I will caution you on using any boom pole without sufficient front ballast.
I have known people that had a hydraulic top link and used it to gain both increase lower level and increase lifting height of the boom pole. I have also known others that used a winch (hand operated winch) and snatch blocks to raise and lower objects to gain a bit more in both directions.
Realize that any boom pole has its limits as to loads it can lift as will your 3PH with a load extended several feet behind your lower lift arms.

Thanks Coy. Yeah, I have a tiny tractor so I know I will be limited.
Found a auction site that said this is spec'd to lift 2500lbs to 6800 lbs (extended boom) and I expect to maybe lift 1500lb bulk sacks a couple inches and pull trailer forward and lower. Went to the Woods website and there is no mention of this anymore.
The other option would be to buy an overhead gantry from Northern tools.

Put a hydraulic top link on and you have basically the same thing, maybe not as much range depending on the top link stroke. I use my hydraulic top link a LOT when I have the pole mounted. I also went a step further and made a mount for my small 2500 LB. battery winch on the pole so I have even more options when lifting. Don't use the winch often but it has had its moments.

Don't know if it's woods, bought at equipment auction - meaning I'm clueless about capacity. Used with chain and brush grubber to pull small trees. Had ability to lift front wheels when tree was too big. The Ford 4000 probably weighs 3x as much as the RK24. I seriously doubt it will work. If you can buy it cheap, buy it they are had to find and someone else will think they "need it". After you have the "odd implements" you will find new ways to use them.

The overhead gantry from Northern tools idea will work. Question is can tractor move it once on the ground?

I used my old HF engine hoist to make a hydraulic boom pole. It is very handy and works fine. But I only use it for relatively light loads under 500 lbs. That is plenty for my B21 which weighs about 3900 lbs.

The terminology is kind of confusing. A 3ph boom pole is kind of self explanatory. I used one on a 2wd 42 pto hp non loader tractor with good results for years. Lifted a Ford 917 1000# flail mower no problem.

Total weight of the subcompact RK24 is 1600 pounds.

Your tractor has a 1323lb hitch capacity. That's at the hitch points. No way will it lift a bulk sack with a boom pole. I'd get the gantry crane.
