Awesome explanation! Much appreciated.
Only one item I don't get now.
My switches are the same as you described above.
I have 2 large main pto connections on the left fel arm facing the machine (Main PTO Male/Female) next to each other. This is where I would connect the stump grinder?
But I have a separate large main female connector all by itslef on the right fel?
What is the right female connector all by itself for?
Please see photo second picture far right large female connector for reference

Sorry, not to confuse. But don't most machines like skid steers have a large hydraulic port for HI flow?

My guess is if there are three hoses one of them is IN, one is OUT, and the 3rd is a CASE DRAIN. I do not have case drains on the PT425. The larger PT models do, as I recall reading.

The case drain line takes any fluid that leaks past the seals in the hydraulic motor and returns it to the tank.

Case drain. Some motorized implements have them some don’t. If your device has a smaller third line that is the case drain line. Also most of us have one male and one female connector on the main pto keep the fluid direction correct. When you first use the stump grinder or mower click it on and off quickly. Make sure the implement is rotating in the right direction.

The innermost line on the left side (from the driver’s seat) is the case drain. IIRC it is about 1/8” smaller than the main PTO lines. I believe that it is primarily used for the post driver, at least as far as I know, as it is direct return line to the hydraulic reservoir.

All the best,

Peter

I added additional auxiliary PTO circuits so that I could control things like V-plows and swinging mini-hoes. This also allows the quick attach connections to always remain in place.

One more thing in case you did not know. You need to turn the engine off and release the pressure (move the nob) on your aux / lock unlock circuit. As well most of us have made a modification to the aux circuit handle to make it more accessible.
