If the three point wont stay up unless you hold the draft handle...then it has a badly leaking or blown hydraulic seal inside the rock shaft housing

I'm likely doing a poor job explaining this. Once I pick up on the green handle, then the purple handle will operate as normal for a few times. It will hold my bush hog in the up position overnight.

Tony if you keep the green lever up will the regular lever work? If so you might try wiring the green lever up and see if it will keep working. The green lever on mine has a spring (yellow on your picture) that keeps it in one place, seems to me if that was out of adjustment then if might render the regular one useless. big dan

Big Dan, If I could keep it in the up position, all might work like it should. I'll try wiring it off. Maybe it is something in the yellow spring area that's slipping? I'll let you know how it does.

We have to get that tractor back up so that we can get back to "from woods to eggs" thread. Some of us may be going into withdrawal. Good luck big dan

Tony I had to put a radiator on the Yanmar friday. At least it was only 96 degrees. When I got finished I played with the levers. If I moved the bottom or green lever and the three point was in the lifted position it fell right to the ground. The green lever had a linkage that went to the spring device and the spring appeared to hold it in place. But as you say if the green lever is in the wrong place then the regular handle (purple) will not work. big dan

Thanks Dan. I've been so busy with other things that I haven't played with it anymore. I did tie it off with a coathanger, and it bent that off first time I tried it. :)

From what you say, I'm convinced something in the yellow spring area is not holding position. I think it will be solved when I get a chance to get into it.

thanks.
