Hydraulic cooler 35D

I was trying to mow last Wed. nite and saw a puff of smoke come out of front of tractor.
After stopping as soon as possible and opened hood to find everything from battery to cowl covered in hydraulic oil.
I could see it coming out of the top right oil cooler line.
The cooler has a crack where the fitting is welded in.
Called dealer and they have to bring the semi out to get it.
Supposed to get it last Thursday but now they say get it today.
The grass is over 8" high now so hopefully they will get it fixed soon.

Doesn't sound like it, but....you're not into that battery corrosion problem.....are you ???

...or possibly the aftereffects of a fix of the battery corrosion problem. On mine they removed everything and replaced a lot, but the cooler was one of the items that really didn't show any damage, so that just went back on. Seems if they weren't careful, they could have overtorqued the fittings and caused some damage.

Some of the hydraulic oil coolers have been failing on these tractors. This is not new news to New Holland

Spencer, any particular serial numbers or things to look out for?

I'm lucky no battery corrosion at all.
Spencer what are they doing about fan interference w/ shroud?
I told dealer to check this out too.
Also having problem w/ main PTO lever, it engages ok but if u pull it out slow the handle bends and wedges in the slot.
So I usually twist handle and pull disengage in a quick motion, this works but told dealer to order a new handle and see if they can see what the problem is.
My yard is fast approaching 10" tall /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
