While working in TurboCad the past month I had similar issues and found that 8" stroke cylinders were available from 16" closed pin to pin to over 20" closed pin to pin. For my needs the Prince tee cylinders with the 16" pin to pin model was the best choice for the geometry at hand. My point being you need to sort out the type cylinder that is needed to work in your application and then adjust the design. Playing with the cad program and browsing the different cylinders I was able to work out just what was needed before spending a nickel.
