That looks great! Have you considered making it extend out another 3 feet or so to get into those really hard to get areas? Have hydraulics move it in and out.
It has a hydraulic cylinder that extends it out 20". That was about the max without upsetting the balance. The engine and hydraulic tank serve as the counterweight.

Very impressive. This clearly isn't your first day in the shop!

Any videos of it running?
We were finally able today to take a couple of videos. We were cutting what we call multiflora rose, a tangled mess of thorns. I am still learning how to best operate it, while avoiding getting hit in the face with those thorns.....

I hope I have done this right. I find this harder than building the mower!!

Is that an old Power King tractor? ,the offset steering wheel and hood looks like one, but I could be wrong.

1984 - 2414, I rebuilt it several years ago, made numerous upgrades and modifications, including tandem transmissions, but it has allways gave good service....

Looks like a great, over engineered mower. I saw one similar at the Ag Expo this year but it just ran off the tractor's hydraulics.

May I be the first to say you should never allow your animals or videographer to stand that close to a mower in action.

I told my daughter that very same thing and as for Hootie the border collie, what can i say, she takes every step I take. My wife once caught her watching the welding arc, imagine a dog with arc eye.
