Inspired by all the wonderful projects I see here I would like to do one of my own. As they go onsale I am collecting the parts that people here have used. While trying to do this I realize how little I know about hydraulics. I don't understand most of the terminology. Can anyone recommend a web site with explanations of hydraulic terms, circuit and maybe how to read a hydraulic scematic. Right now I am looking at a 2 way 3 position selector valve to use in a two cylinder top & tilt. It's cheap, but I don't think it's power beyond. Thanks.

To add a TNT setup to your B7100 you are going to need at least a 2 spool open center valve with power beyond. I am not sure what selector valve you are looking at. You can probably use the Eaton-Cessna valve from Surplus Center if your pump flow is under 5 gpm. Cheap isn't always the way to go. You need to get what will work. There are literally hundreds of posts that discuss adding rear remote hydraulics to tractors.

It's probably a spool valve I want in the first place and not a selector valve. I've read many of the top & tilt threads. I'll re-read them once I understand hydraulics better.

The US army has training material that is not copyright. You can find guys on ebay that sell a CD of the manuals for $5 or so, or you can search Google and possibly find the material in an ROTC website for free.
