Here's a video of what I have. The bucket and hydraulic assembly has to be removed. John Deere 8 Front End Loader for Tractors - YouTube

Why would the hydraulic assembly need to be removed?

And a video of the type of attachment (but with spears) that I'm looking for. W R Long Round Bale Mover - YouTube

Appreciate you guys, tho.

That type of attachment is a John Deere Hook and pin attachment system:

Around here, farmers grow a LOT of apples,,
The farmers have an attachment that will pick up a LARGE apple box, and load it to the height of a standard 18-wheeler.

It would easily pick up a round bale,,

It is a simple 4 bar linkage,, I think they use them, because it weighs WAY less than a front end loader,,

The guys can run around pretty fast with a loaded box of apples,,
faster than a tractor with just a front end loader.

The attachment just bolts to the front where the grill guard should be,,
I would imagine by drilling a few holes, it would fit any tractor.

Most of the tractors are 1950's and early 1960's,, small, maybe 30HP,, gas powered machines.
Obviously the attachment is not wearing out the tractor.

So you want to remove this:

And build something lighter that will do the same thing with your bale spear?

What size bales and how heavy?

This looks like my model 80 bucket assembly. If it is then, yes.

4x5 & 5x6 bales. Guessing 600-800 lbs?

Would you have a link for such an animal. Sounds promising.

Sounds about right for 4x5. 5x6 are a lot heavier:

The model 80 bucket doesn't easily disconnect from the arms. No hook & pin. I've attached a link of a model like mine.

Your bucket is the old standard "Pin On" type. It can be converted to a Quick Attach type, there are several threads here on TBN showing how to do it.

From your link:

I love my SSQA. But they do reduce lift capacity a bit & push the bucket (or whatever) out a bit. That is likely to be problematic if you are already close to capacity. Starting price will be a fair bit north of $500 for an adapter. Maybe a bit for SSQA parts if you can weld up your own. Either way you'll still need to weld & probably cut on the bucket.
