You found the post I was thinking about. TractorJoes filters may not be original Kioti filters and you don't know what you're getting.

That wasn't me in the referenced thread. The filter I got was a TRAC brand in black. And to update. I put the OEM filter on and the new hose. Reassembled the tractor and used it for 2.5 hours moving dirt. No issues. The filter I got was a POS that cost me many hours, 2 new hoses, an extra gallon of hydraulic fluid, a tube of thread lock, and a couple of gallons of gasoline. I am going to demand a full refund. We'll see. Never again!

Sorry for getting my nose in there. It does say a lot about filters form your dealers.

Luckily your hose broke and you didn't cavitate the pump for to long, or it could have been much worse.

Thanks for this feedback/uodate. This is a good example of the false economy of non-OEM parts, at your expense, unfortunately. With actual Kioti dealers willing to do mail-order business (plus OEM stuff on ebay), it doesn't make sense to mess with aftermarket filters.

I actually went to a Kioti dealer first. They were out of filters. And I really wasn't aware that tractorjoe was selling non-oem parts. My own fault though.

Glad you got it figured out and thanks for updating. It taught me that I will absolutely call the dealer ahead of time when it comes time to change my filters. Luckily, my local dealer is about 5 minutes away.
