hydraulic hose on main line to/from filter/pump

Yes. Part 13. ... I heard it happen, like opening a can of soda - pfst!

This sounds like the new filter is plugged. Ordinarily, there should be very little (negative) pressure on this hose. It is odd that this coincided with the filter change.

I tried the auto parts stores, and TSC. No one had this kind of hose. It is metal jacketed hydraulic hose about an inch in diameter (ID).

Have you checked with heavy equipment dealers. JD, Case, Cat, etc. or looked up hydraulic hose shops in your area? These industrial places will carry what you need and can upgrade you.

I'm checking with bobcat tomorrow. Hard to get to most of these kind of places during the week due to work.

I understand that, but if you call, the good ones will stay open or have early hours to get your business. One shop I use, just says drop it off and they will call me. They have those wire label tags in a box and you tie one on with you name and stuff and put it in the box (one of those big plastic garden chests. Works great. You can pick up the repaired unit in the same box.

That's a special suction hose, designed not to collapse under vacuum. A hydraulic shop should have it.

My CK30 is nearing 11yo and almost 600hr, so I will check that.

Update. I got the hose from Bobcat. It was $2.38. I was pleased when I saw they were opening a store less than a mile from my house. And this is why. Tractor back together and functioning once again. Putting the loader bracket back on was a royal PITA. There is zero play in about 10 bolts. Took 2 hours to get it back on and torqued down. Happy camper once again :)

Good news! That's not a lot for a little hose. And you had to

Service/grease the loader anyway, right!

Well, I thought all was well. Hadn't really used the tractor after the repair. Just exercised the loader and backhoe a bit and drove it around the yard. Then parked it for the past few weeks. So, today I had a tri-axle load of topsoil delivered. On the very first bucket full, as I dumped the load and went to back away, I hear this pop. Then no steering, not loader control. Looked underneath and fluid running out. Felt the hose and it was split in the exact same place. Got my neighbor to help me "steer" back to the shelter and muscled the loader and backhoe off.

The hose I got from Bobcat seemed to be lighter weight. It didn't have the outside wire jacket. But, it was the part they called for and fit perfectly. So, I thought it would be OK. Guess I thought wrong. Now I have to do the whole repair again. I'm going to call some hydraulic shops tomorrow and look for some hose rated to 3000 psi or there abouts. I sure hope it's not something else. But, I wasn't having any problems before fluid change. And after the "new hose repair" everything seemed to work as normal until it burst. I think the hose has to be high pressure and the BC one was not.

one difference this times is that I have no hydraulics: no steering, no loader, and no backhoe. Last time it was just the loader. Maybe I just didn't exercise them enough to see a failure. Has anyone else had an issue like this?
