Just because it has a brand on the hose does not indicate the capability. For example, Gates supplies 11 different grades of industrial hose. If you are concerned about abrasion, look for their mining quality hose. Under mining quality, they have different grades depending on purpose - like std vs high temp, etc. Insider info - at Cat, we developed our own abrasion resistant hose for backhoe loaders due to customer demand.
