Hydraulic hose question on LA724 loader

I just finish installing the Kubota 3rd function remove valve kit on my L3240 tractor. What a job. I have almost a full day in it.
I am about to order a thumb style add a grapple to the loader bucket.
(The Thumb) I will be mainly loading brush in the burn pile.
Should I use the smaller more flexible hoses with the 1/2" fittings or the heavier hoses with the 3/4" fittings? I am sure either would handle the flow as the cylinder is only 2" diameter with a 6" stroke. Are the heavier hoses more durable or is flexibility more important?

You want to use 1/4" hoses for the grapple. They are cheaper, more flexible and easier to route. Another advantage is they will help slow down the small cylinder for better control.

I agree with KENNY, use 1/4" hoses. Operating a grapple is very short
duration, intermittant use, so the low flow rate of a small hose is a
benefit, not a problem.

Note that if you buy some standard length hose with ends already crimped,
you can save 75% or more in cost. You can also install protection over
the hose in vulnerable areas....I have had very good luck with using plastic
flex conduit (Liquidtite) for 1/4" hoses, purchased from Home Depot..
