Yup, as Rick said, the tube side "nuts" will turn. Soak them down real good with some type of penitrating oil (WD40, PB Blaster, Ect.). Just be carefule not to twist the fitting of the tube.

You guys are great!.The tube side nuts were swivels.I was focused on the cylinder side nuts.Thanks a lot for everyones help.
I will post more pictures of the scraped up rod and see if you think it can be polished out.I don't even want to think about how I'm going to put the new packings back in the threaded nut.

I have one bucket and both lift cylinders leaking pretty good and I thought I would start with the bucket cylinder first.Repacking all those seals looks pretty interesting though.Tractor is still under warranty but the dealer is over a hundred miles from me and too far to pick up he says. I did get the packings free though Bucket cyl is scarred up good.Ill post a pic later tonight.What do you use to polish the rods?.
