Hydraulic Hoses and Fittings

Blu 82, How are you doing with the 7520. My engine clattered and stopped the other day while I was using the chipper. Mahindra thinks the cam sheared its key. 172.4HRS. Another assembly problem - this time originating at the factory. I really hate being a test bed for their faulty processes. Is your loader slow? I wrote something about mine lately on the 7520 update thread.
Before it blew I bought a bunch of hyd stuff from surpluscenter.com. If I can get so I can rely on the tractor I am going to put the bobcat Tilt-Tach on it so the bucket can be pivoted left/right to follow the ground or dig at an angle etc - - so i bought a lot of stuff - hoses, fittings, cylinder for 3PH tilt. The fitting to couple into the remotes is a Pioneer VP8010-4P, or equivalent. This comes out with a 1/2NPTFemale to attach to the hose directly, or to use a 1/2NPT to JIC-8 adapter to connect to JIC fitting hoses like on your BH.

Rob,

Interesting that your from Crestview, as I used to live in Ft. Walton Bch. My Dad and several of my siblings live in Pensacola, and my oldest Daughter lives in Milton.

Anyway, I was in a real delima as to how to hook up a grapple arm on the top of my bucket. I ordered the grapple from Dehner Welding, which I ordered the "Big Arm 32", and it shipped in two packages, the mounting base, which bolts/welds to the top edge of the bucket, and the hydraulic piston in one, and the arm in the other. Well MURPHY's law then took effect, and the arm never made it, so I'm waiting for UPS to quit dinking around, and Dehner to ship another. They don't furnish hoses, as they wouldn't know what connectors or lengths to send anyway. I copied the information off the couplers on my rear remotes, discovering that they are made by STUCCHI, and went to their WEB, got their part numbers and called Discount Hydraulic Hoses, and they were able to cross reference everything. They also make the hoses with the correct fitting needed to attach to the quick disconnect fittings. I used an old water hose to run for length measurement. I'm installing a set of quick disconnects at the bucket so I can remove the arm and hydraulics when not needed. I wound up spending about $160 includes shipping, for two 18' hoses, one 6', and one 7', along with two nipples, and two sets of quick disconnects.

Hope that helps. Oh and I also ordered a SALSCO 6" chipper to chip up all the trees and limbs I'm pushing up with my tractor.

Let me know if you need any more data.

Thanks Les. I used to live in Fort Walton--2 tours at Hurlburt Fld. Now retired from AF, I am in Crestview. Closer to my land just north of here. I went to high school in Fitzgerald, GA--small town in S GA.

I have been pushing large Yopon bushes and small trees trying to clear land that used to be fairly clear 15 yrs ago when I bought the property but the FEL doesn't get all the roots very well. Also, since I am maybe not so good at it, I end up pushing a fair amount of dirt too. So, I am considering a grapple rake and would need hyd hoses for the thumbs to go fr the rear remotes (if that is the way I decide to do it). Just wondered how much it would cost and what equip I would need. I have a couple of tractor dealers that could make/install the hoses and wanted to compare costs.

Did u have to do anything to the hoses or were they already made up and you just told them the length needed??

thanks

Rob,

I worked for NCR Corporation in Ft. Walton, and along with several other guys we serviced all the cash registers at Hurlburt and Eglin AFB. That was from 69 to 75, and I was tranferred to Sarasota Florida, and transferred again to Atlanta, but I refussed to live in Atlanta, so I'm 70 miles North in Dahlonega. I almost wish I was in Crestview or Defuniak Springs or some other small town around there.

Anyway, I measured the distance from the rear remotes to the front bar close to the top of the bucket, and from there to the top edge of the bucket where the hydraulic piston mounts. This way I can put another set of quick disconnects at the front of the FEL and remove the grapple arm and hydraulic piston when not needed.

Discount Hydraulic Hose makes the hoses as per your instructions, and also has the quick disconnects that you need. I ordered them last Friday, butam still waiting for them to ship. They said they would make them on Monday and Ship Tuesday morning, but their WEB site doesn't show them as shipping.

I have added a Tooth Bar on the front edge of my bucket, and it makes all the difference in pushing up small trees and such with out all of the dirt. I just tilt the bucket forward and slip the teeth under the roots, and they just pop out. It should be eaiser for you with all of the sandy soil.

Best Of Luck,

Les

Hoses came in today, and they are very well made. Everything was as ordered, and now if the grapple would only show up, then I could finish the project. UPS lost the grapple arm, and the manufacturer is having to re-send another.

So if you need Hydraulic Hoses or fittings,

www.discounthydraulichoses.com is the place.

Having a great day,
