I am a new Kioti owner, just purchased an older DK35, 2005 mdl. I am trying to figure out the purpose of the small lever on the lower right side below the draft control levers. It is marked A at the top N in the center and B lower position. To operate the loader it must be in the N position, if it is moved to the A position the loder will not function. The previous owner did not know what the function was either, only htat it had to be in the N position to operate the loader. The owners manual is no help, it just mentions there is a lever, no explanation.

Thanks

That lever controls hydraulic flow to the "remote" quick-disconnect hydraulic connectors on the back of the tractor. I use mine for a hydraulic top lift with my box blade. Many folks run a backhoe or log splitter from those connectors. Some folks route hoses from there to the front to run a hydraulic thumb or 4-in-one bucket. As you discovered, it needs to be in the middle (N) position or it steals all the power from the loader. Originally, there were detents in the A and B positions (some folks remove these). Don't leave it "deadheaded" in A or B for long or you will damage the hydraulic pump. This "remote" was probably an option on your tractor, which may be why it's not covered in your manual. On the other hand, Kioti documentation from that era wasn't all that good, so maybe it's just an oversight in the book. Typically, the stock tractor will accommodate two of these remotes

Great information, that is what I thought it was for but wasn't sure. It does have the the rear "remote" connectors.

Thanks for the information!

Supplemental: There is a kit available from Kioti for a second (or a first) remote, in case you ever need it. The kit is fairly reasonable in cost and several owners have installed an additional remote DIY. Installation requires removing the seat to gain access to the hydraulics. At least one owner reported that kit installation does not require removing the rear tire (although the instructions said to remove it). Even so, the seat is fairly heavy (and a filled tire can be VERY heavy).

Good to know if I ever need to add a second remote.

Installed both of the remotes on my CK30hst and was able to do all the work by removing the seat only. I didn't see where removing the rear tire would have helped any.
