Well, start by draining the ATF and opening the filter housing. There will be a screen-wrapped cylinder inside. Remove the screen to reveal the cylinder. It's magnetic, so clean it well with diesel fuel and a toothbrush. The screen will not likely be reusable, you should have some replacement material on hand. I use 80x80 brass mesh on mine, and have plenty extra if you can't find it locally.Any way to increase presuure?
Multi-vis hydraulic fluid is ok, just not readily available in all areas yet. Certainly not around here anyway, and your area sounds even more remote. But yes, AW32 is plenty thin for your use, it's got a viscosity equivalency to 10W engine oil.
