Hydraulic motor control valve plumbing

Hello,
I recently purchased a Sabre/Samurai front mount sickle mower. I have a Kubota l3400 HST with an LA463 loader. I have followed several past posts here on tractorbynet. I want to be able to operate the sickle mower independent of the tractor idle speed. I want to run a finish mower at the same time that I am running the sickle. I purchased a control valve-- Prince W -1960. I think I need to plumb the Power beyond going my loader to the IN on the Prince valve, then CF to the sickle, the other side of sickle mower Teed to the EX of the prince valve, then that line back into the Power beyond of the loader valve. Does any of that make sense? In addition, I want to eventually fabricate a quick detach set-up with a hydraulic cylinder to raise the sickle from vertical (trail trimming) to below horizontal (pond bank). I will need to add a 3rd function set up. Thanks

PB of the loader valve to P or IN. Prince CF (PB) to the PB connection on the tractor where the loader PB formerly was connected. Prince T port to tractor T port.

I attached an image of the schematic that came with the valve. Looks like the controlled flow goes directly to the motor.

Ok, you are going to need some sort of directional valve between your tractor hydraulics and your implement. That valve is strictly a flow control. I would also suggest a crossover relief valve to cushion the motor stop. The Prince flow control has a relief so stacking of reliefs can be an issue. I would set the flow control relief high and run on the crossover.

Basically you first need a directional control valve to start/stop the implement motor. Then the flow control/crossover relief/motor. One port of the directional valve to supply oil to the flow control, the other to be connected to tank. At least that is the way I would tackle it.

So if I understand correctly. I need a directional control valve with a power beyond port. The line currently going into PB on loader to the new valve, the PB of the new valve to the loader PB. The out of the directional control valve to the in of the prince flow valve. The CF of the prince valve to the motor, the EX of the prince flow Teed to the return on the motor, then that goes to tank. Dang that seems like a lot of plumbing.

Yeah, it's a lot of plumbing - but if you DON'T have a way to reverse the flow, every time you hit a piece of dry/hard wood bigger than maybe 1" it will STALL the samurai and you're STUCK - if you can "jog" the hyd. motor back and forth, you will like it a LOT better -

My credentials (besides 35 years in industrial automation/control) - did mine WITHOUT reverse flow capability, will be starting OVER when the weather gets better

- this comes under the heading of "shoulda known better" in my case... Steve
