Hey guys. Trying to search hydraulic motor low power/low torque dosnt return wanted results so I figure id ask.
I have a digit 158 towable backhoe. Boom/bucket/stabilizers have good power and speed. Pump has a drip or two of oil when running, I do not suspect this to be the issue since other owners of the same machine have the same issue.
Machine has good speed on level ground. But if the wheel gets in a small rut or has to power over a stick/root it will not turn over. Wheels will not spin so traction isnt the issue. I replaced one wheel motor when I bought the machine, the internals on the old one were bad. System pressure is 2500psi. Im thinking there might be some kind of purposeful restriction on the valves but im not sure where to look or what to check for. Any ideas/thoughts? There's no separate relief valves for the wheel motors.
