This is on a Kubota B9200 where there are three lines going from the tractor hydraulics to the FEL valve block. There are, of course, the pressure and return lines and the third line is labeled as "neutral". Can someone help me with the function of this neutral line? Is it similar to a "case drain" on some sytems?
I'm looking at adding rear remotes and trying to figure out the best way of tapping into the system.
Thanks

Fill in this request for parts from Messicks and they will send you a parts illustration in pdf

Scroll down to hyd block or hydraulic pipe 1

I believe the pressure and return outlets are on the side of the block, and there should be a screw that you turn when remotes are installed. Two large hex plugs.

Pump, return and 3pt lines are banjo fitted lines

Here is a page from the owners manual showing the hydraulic block with the banjo fittings you mentioned. The line that I'm wondering about is the one labeled "neutral". Is it a power beyond that can be tapped into for an additional valve(s) with power beyond?

I think you are correct with the power beyond. Looks like they made it easy for you(not on my L3400). I think all you need to do based on the drawing is pull the plugs and connect the hoses to your control valve.

That's what I was hoping to hear. That third line (called neutral) between the block on the tractor and the FEL valve has a quick coupler installed. Seems like I might be able to buy a matching male and female to tap in and connect the pressure and return hoses connecting to the new rear remotes valve block. I'm going to assume at this point that the additional valve block would not require a power beyond. Does that sound logical?
Almost sounds too easy.
Are the quick couplers on the B9200 a Kubota proprietary or do they interchange with pioneer type?
Thanks

I wouldn't assume you don't need the pwr beyond. The way my L3400 is set up with the block the FEL connects to uses pwr beyond. Looking at the drawing anything you hook up to this block maybe before other hydraulics. If it's the last item in the system then it shouldn't need the pwr beyond. I'm thinking that the plugs in this block actually connect the pwr beyond and the pressure ports. If you don't hook up to the pwr beyond you may lose your 3pt hitch function. Look at this thread (http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/hydraulics/207342-hi-all-new-member-bob.html) I have pics showing a pwr beyond system if your not familiar with how to plumb them.

Yeah, I forgot about the 3pt and I'll bet you're right. Probably could uncouple the "neutral line" and see if that stops the 3pt.

I tried uncoupling the neutral line mentioned above. The 3pt then quits functioning and I could hear the relief valve "talking" with the engine idling. I guess that does confirm that an additional valve body for rear remotes will require power beyond. Also, with the neutral line re-coupled, the 3pt won't function when the loader is operating. I suppose that may be true with most systems?
I was concerned about what would happen if I removed the FEL and still wanted power to the rear remotes. I guess, though, that would just be a matter of tapping into the couplers that normally make up the pressure and return lines to the loader and leaving the PB line uncoupled and blocked.

Too bad they had an electrical engineering dropout translating the technical info. Had they called it Power Beyond or Carry Over like the rest of the world, they would be better understood.

If you want rear remotes and no FEL, just use the same ports that the FEL used.

If you don't have FEL or remotes, there are plugs in the hex nut ports, The banjo lines will connect the pump with the 3pt, and I believe you have to turn the screw for 3pt operation.

In my situation, I left the switch on remote operation, and looped my log splitter hose at the rear. So what happens there is the pump fluid goes to the hyd block, out the hyd block to the rear, loops back to the hyd block, and then to 3pt.

That same hose setup can power your remotes.
