If you dumped it at 50 hours that is probably not to bad then to go another 200.

Did the hyd & engine oil filters and extracted the engine oil. Put the 3.5 quarts of VW 5w30 LL03 Castrol for TDIs in the engine. That checked. Put 3 in, and had a little bit to go on the dipstick. Added the other 0.5 qt for the dipstick makeup and tiny oil filter refill.

The hyd. oil seemed to gush only from the filter itself and maybe the upper side line. Went to add about 0.5 qt back and rediscovered the almost useless circular sight glass. I remember now in refilling it from the 50 hour change. I'm not really sure whether oil is up to it or completely to the top of it. You need 2 people when refilling to check the thing. I could not find any oil on the end of a 3 to 4 inch phillips head screw driver put into the fill hole. So, I added another 0.5 quart and got it showing on the "phillips" part of the screw driver. Figure there's enough room there for any foaming or whatever.

Did the grease job and missed the zerks on the bottoms of the tie rod ends. Thought they still (not on the bigger JDs) had zerks on them. Will have to hit them tomorrow or so. Of course, the driveshaft Ujoints will go another 150 hours before the tractor gets sent to the shop for JD to remove the shaft to grease them. That's what I did at 200 hours (now 250).
