A buddy of mine just dropped of 3 1 gallon jugs of NAPA R&O Hydraulic Oil. He says I will have no issue using it on my PT in the Hydraulic section. I use Chevron 10-40 as it is cheap and my PT leaks like no tomorrow.

Thoughts? Hate to chuck perfectly good oil...

Don't.

You don't want to be mixing engine oil with hydraulic oil, especially in a machine as old as yours. Stuff may crap out or dissolve.

Just my $0.02.

I am taking this to my mechanic friend. He owns a big backhoe and maybe this will buy me a bit of pond cleaning.

Just trade it for something you need.
