Does that make the Shell a better or worse choice?

that would make it an OEM recommended oil. So if your owners manual calls for a Spirax S4 TXM or Donax TD than the Shell Rotella HD tractor and hydraulic fluid meets all the OEM specs. Spirax and Donax are Shell products.

For Hydraulic Fluid at TSC, we always recommend the Shell Rotella HD Trans/Hydraulic Fluid. We have had a couple of performance issues with the Traveller products, especially in HST Transmissions.

Many thanks for this. I used the Spirax last time but it was hard to find and TCS stores are common here.
