Hydraulic part

I have been having issues with my tractor and I'm not claiming to be expert but willing to take a jab at learning.i can't afford to take my girl to a shop so yes I've been trying to diagnose myself with no luck . She starts and runs fine until I try to go loli found this pinned under my tractor close to hydraulic control-- could this bring out of my tractor have anything to do with this Has been come again off again sometimes she will go if I lift up off front axel and pull myself. Other times she will move on her own in gear so I hope and don't feel like it's tranny or clutch issue ( I hope ) really curious where this needs to be -- found after I had been digging with loader when problem first began. I'm all ears. Please help give me something to make a 2 year la bone on the farm without the girl going ease the struggle .. I'm getting too old to be doing this work. In the yard all solo by hard working hands. It sure is easier in the garden or chores with her go go juice flowing right lol

Is that part plastic? Is sure looks like it. If it is it will be a cap for a fill port for something on your machine. Transmission, power steering....
It will not be involved in some feature under stress like a loader, or movement of the tractor. However, if it has been off i.e. open for some time the fluid would likely be contaminated with water and dirt.

As such it will require a drain and flush then refill with new fluid.

It is always possible it did not come from your machine but was thrown by a lawn mower and landed on your tractor.

Part in photo resembles a fuel filter housing drain screw(see photo below). Old part appear to have some wear marks!! What type transmission does this tractor have? If it has shuttle type transmission I suggest to check traction clutch control pedal "free travel".
