Hydraulic Pressure, slow to be applied

Two days to leak down is not bad is some respects, depends on what is the standard rate of drop for your machine. Air in a cyl will have a mushy effect. Air will compress more easily than hyd fluid. As you cycle a cyl, the air is usually purged .

Even if the pump belt is slipping, that will only affect the GPM's. If the belt is slipping, the belt will have a hard glazed appearance. It may not slip until a load is placed o the pump.

I'll check it for leaks this weekend. Thanks again

If it's belt drive and the pump is above the level of the reservoir, it could be the shaft seal leaking air by when shut off allowing the oil level to drop back to reservoir height overnight.....thus giving you the problem of loosing prime......

If so, maybe the shaft seal is out in the open to pack grease around the shaft when shut down for the night.....this may show you if the suction leak is at the shaft seal.....

If you fix the problem, how about posting back with the details.
