im not there to look at and figure out your prob.but from the looks of it you have the hydro hoses plugged into the wrong ports.in other words you might have the up and down hose in the tilt and curl port and vice versa.the loader you have on your cab tractor is for and open station for 1 thing.in a cab tractor your joystick for the loader should be in front of your gear shift off set to the side a little.

Hydraulics are dangerous. I repeat, hydraulics are dangerous. If you are a novice and do not know what to do or what you are doing, call a tech. Playing around with hydraulics can cause serious injury or death.

Hear are some pictures of what I have. When I went out to take these I noticed that I have two different models. The "red" block came with the tractor and snow blower when I bought it new in 2004. The other block came with the loader and is the type installed on tractors without a cab. My tractor has the factory cab. The way the QD's are attached in these photos everything works correct except when I push the stick forward the bucket goes up. The only way the bucket can be lowered is by pushing the stick into the float position. If I connect the QD's color to color(red to red, etc.) Moving the stick side to side the bucket goes up and down and moving the stick front to back the bucket dumps and rolls.

When their connected "color to color" as stated,,
all you have to do now is,, swap them ( the two with the "GREEN" arrows with the other two,

So if you put them "color to color" ( like you said earlier ) and take the two with green arrows and put them on the inside, this should now make your loader work "the" opposite of what you stated,
and this, I believe is what you want.

That "pushing it hard" issue may be from the regenerative circuit on this model. It's another joystick position beyond the normal "lower bucket" position that let's gravity lower the bucket to save hydraulic flow.

Not true.

Regen actually feeds the pump flow plus the rod end flow into the cyl for a fast dump with less force.

If the regen on this valve is in the first portion of lever movement, he is probably using regen most of the time.

jayhawk238,

Did you ever get the hoses installed correctly?

I tried your idea, however, when I moved the stick in any direction you could hear/feel the pump working but no fluid would come out of the valves on the cyl block. I had another post saying to connect the hoses color to color and swap the two hoses coming from the hydraulic block. Whats your thought on trying that. He said to do that because the cly block on the tractor and the one that came with the loader are two different models.

'On the hyud block, you probably have a pressure, a PB , and a return.

The three hyd block ports have to be connected correctly for the FEL valve to work.

Your hyd block should look something like this. Your ports may be located different.

Your manual should tell you the correct ports.

Pressure from hyd blk goes to FEL IN port.

FEL PB comes back to hyd blk.

FEL return comes back to hyd blk.

Then connect the cyl hose correctly.

You have to get this right as the flow in an open center is a series path and fluid is flowing at all times.

Better technical explanation than mine but for the purpose of this discussion, gravity assists the lower force available with the regen circuit.

Just wanted to let all of you that I finally got my loader to work. Turned out the control cables were way out of adjustment. That was why when I tried to lower the boom the cable was not "fully" engaged so it was trying to raise and lower at the same time and the up motion won out. Thanks to all who gave me input, it was greatly appreciated.
