I bought a used B7200 4WD and just purchased a used 1640 lader attachment for it.

It seems I have a B7200 with power steering and my dealer says they never made one.

Here is my problem:

Instead of a 2 port hydraulic block, I have one that has 4 ports. The upper two ports have threaded brass inserts with 1/4 inch holes drilled through them with a deep (1 inch) thread at the end of the brass piece. You can not thread a hydraulic line into those ports.

Under that are 2 more ports, threaded to accept a hydraulic line but I have connected to those two ports, tried it, reversed the connections and tried again but still have no hydrauic power. The 3 point hitch works fine, the power steering, which also comes from the bottom of this 4 point plug works fine.

I am at wits end. Has anyone ever seen this setup before ?

I'm fuzzy about what the problem is. Summarizing your post:

  • You have some parts nobody recognizes. Interesting, but doesn't jump out at me as a problem.
  • Your 3pt hitch works. No problem.
  • Your power steering works. No problem.

What doesn't work?

The loader does not work. at all. Not even a twitch, so I would
presume it is not getting hydraulic fluid, but I don't have
a clue as to why not.

I can't see it in your photo, but there should be a directional valve on the top of your hydraulic block that you can turn to enable flow to your implement. I am trying to include a copy of the drawing from my manual. Hope this helps.

If you look close it's right there on top.

I see the top valve now, almost out of the picture. After I reread the instructions in the manual it looks like there are two valves that need to be turned to the correct position. The top valve 'A' needs to be turned to pin 'C', and the second valve 'B' also needs to be turned correctly, apparently towards pin 'E'. This is pretty much self explanatory in the drawing.

That is the block !! That drawing is perfect.

The problem I had is:

Pin "E" is broken off and I turned the nut 359 degrees against the pin "D"
and nothing happened.

Thank you so much.

Merry Christmas ! :)
