hydraulic pump wd45

Hello, I'm going to reinstall my hydraulic pump (on a wd45 diesel) and I'm concerned about compressing the cams of the pump as I install, and removing air from the air lines. Can some knowledgeable person educate me on performing these tasks?

The wd45 are also diesels?? I got a gasser. Strong little tractors. Never tore the pump out or had a need to but man the hydraulics on mine are slow but strong as ****
