I think i could have pasted a dozen links from every manufacturer with the same result  .
Perhaps. But I don't think many of them would describe products actually sold across the counter here in the USA. What you've posted so far sounds like what's sold in this country as UTF (universal tractor fluid).

So what I think is happening here - is that you're using (and referencing) products manufactured to ISO standards. While we here in America are on the SAE standard

You're only continuing to make my point for me. That was a British brochure. Are you having trouble finding and American one?

You can't possibly be serious . Are you saying that if you get the "special" British John Deere oil it would be a different story and be OK . Or should everyone buy British sold John Deere tractors so they can use the "special" British advertised 15w40 oil . I never knew that a John Deere tractor sold in the USA could not use the same oil as one sold in Britain . I wonder were the oil actually comes from or where it is made . There were 2650 sites that Google found relating to 15w40 gearboxes . Like i said before i could post a dozen of them and it would make no difference to you . I'm outta here .

Bye, and glad you are out of here. This discussion was about hydraulics, not gearboxes. You still have not answered my question about how cold it gets down under. G'day mate.

The 306 pump is the basic pump used on tractors without front loaders. it is around 3gpm and will be slow under the best of conditions. We stock a 314 replacement that will speed things up, more than doubling the flow rate. This of course does not take into account any potential restriction in the system (often caused by mismatched quick connect fittings, etc).

I got the 314 and it's like a brand new machine. Holy cow, I can get the front end off the ground and don't even have to rev the engine to raise a FULL bucket of dirt.

Did you take the other one apart and look for seal damage? And the Seals shaped like a W? O-rings?

I took it from the way you descibed that at one time it worked better than it was.
