Hydraulic Question on Homemade Post Driver

Crap! I might need glasses. It really looked like a "C"

Now after a closer look, it's indeed an "O".

Sorry for the confusion.

Anyway, the PB ports always have that longer fitting. It's called the PB plug, that will seat into a bore on the valve to redirect the fluid inside the valve. The P and T ports often have two ways to connect. Either on the side of the valve like yours, or on top where the work ports are.

Can you hook you post driver into the third function temporarily or front end loader valve with quick disconnects to see if the cylinder cycles faster or another tractor to hook it up to. It acts like the new valve is plumbed from the tank port of the tractor but if your third function was functioning correctly and you added a hose a hose to put it all in the loop I would think something isn’t just right with the valve.

I was under the assumption that the longer fitting was just a extension fitting so that you can have 2 elbows right next to one another like I did with the new valve. The new valve PB plug was just an insert plug inside the C port behind my added extension fitting and elbow.

Yeah I can try running it off the 3rd function, I didn't add them yet but the 2 work ports on the new valve will actually have quick disconnects to them so that the driver can be used on either the FEL or the 3 pt. The mount was designed and built for the front or back of the tractor like some of my other attachments.

Ok I finally got a chance this weekend to switch hoses around and figure it out. I had the P and C port reversed on the new valve and was putting the pressure feed into the power beyond port. So another words the 3rd function valve is the first valve in line and is fed through the T port and then goes through my loop and into the FEL valve then to the 3pt. Once swapped it operates correctly and I can finally get things finished up on this project.

Thanks for all the help in trying to figure this out.
