Soundguy, my post was not in response to you. I was just posting so people knew that read from other forums that this was a universal problem for all brands.

Please explain the

At least on my yanmar 1700.. there is a continous metal line from the pump to the hyd section on the tractor..that hyd section contains the control valving... and relief valving.... no quick disconnects in line that can be accidentally bumped loose and allow the pump to self destruct.

Another example would be my ford NAA.. or ford hundred series. there is a hyd manifold, or set of hard lines.. that run directly from the pump to the hyd section on the tractor.. in the hyds section is the control valve and relief.

They are integral, and cannot be seperated by someting as simple as a popped open quick disconnect...

Gotcha, all the greys are like yours. When we put the loader on though we cut that line and put the valve in series. That’s how the disconnects get put on the wrong side of the internal pressure bypass.

Of all the Yanmar’s you have one of the few I actually like :) Are you ready for a loader? :)

Yep.. I wasn't thinking about the addition of an aftermarket loader.. etc.. i was only thinking about oem equipment.

Off topic a bit here.. one thing I like about the old fords ( 53 and up ).. was that you could add a tap/adapter plat to the hyd top cover section, and then add your spools, and plumb yer loader hyds off the engine mounted pump and still use the integral relief valve.. also let you use the 3pt at the same time assuming you had enough flow/pressure to do both.. etc.

What specifically do you like about the 1700 vs other models?
