Kioti DK 4710 Cab
I am waiting for my new Kioti DK4710se to be ready. I got all the factory hydraulics coming with it that I could get. 2 rear remotes and 3rd function. I already bought a hydraulic top link from Haytools. I had their (C&C) top link on my 3320 for 12 years and it was fine. On that tractor I never got around to getting a side link, but I really want one on my new tractor. What kind of cylinder do I need to be looking for? I know the factory link has clevis ends on it and it measures 14" at its shortest length and 18" when extended.

Unlike top links, Side links are typically made to fit specific models of tractors.

Brian at fit rite hydraulics is a member of this site and has a very good reputation for building side links.

I have read all about Fit Right. I know he makes good stuff. I just don't want to have to wait that long.

Just my opinion... but... All I can say is "worth the wait".... Brian built my TnT... Fit Rite is the way to go...

Custom built to work, Brian is top notch to work with & product quality is second to none. If I had to do it again I would "WAIT" & get Fit Rite again..

Gearmore has side links. They are a wholesaler so you will need to go through a retailer.

You might want to check with Michigan Iron. Just keep in mind that their side link only tilts to one direction. Fully retracted is level.

As far as Gearmore, pretty sure that they do not sell east of the Rockies.

RollTideRam, +1 on Brian's suggestion to call MIE to discuss your needs. I think they have a pretty quick turnaround time. I'd speak with Bob Piro.

I know there are different views on this, but I'm a big fan of double-piloted check valves on both the top link and side link cylinders, and MIE will add them if requested. They eliminate the risk of nuisance drift-down that is pretty common with any brand of rear remote valve. With your DK, there will be room to add one if you ask for a cylinder with 6" extension for the side link. That's what I have on my NX, and it will also work on your DK.

BTW, by moving the Kioti OEM adjustable side link to the other (left) side of your hitch, you can set it so that you then have tilt both to the right and left. See pics of my NX. NB: That's only on the DK and NX and larger frame models. On my CK, I have top 'n tilt as well, but the smaller tractor requires a shorter cylinder on the side link, and there is not enough room to fit a check valve between the ports, unfortunately.

If your remote valves don't have float ( float won't work with check valves) do yourself a favor and get check valves on you top/tilt cylinders.

You can always adjust it down to get tilt to both directions, but then you loose implement height that the tractor was designed to have. This may or may not cause problems depending what a persons circumstances-conditions might be. ;)

Dont forget when you mount your hydraulic side link you can move the mechanical adjustable link to the other side. Brian does good work and has great customer service. Thank you Brian. Good luck OP.

Yes, that's an important trade-off I should have mentioned for some brands and models. The Kioti DK model that RollTideRam is getting, the CK10 series, and the NX series do not have float in their remote rear valves, unless something has changed very recently.

Yes, another good point. I do lose some of the max lift height on my NX by doing this. Hasn't been an issue for me, though. YMMV

I really appreciate your recommendation. Side link is ordered. I will not forget you helping me, that says a lot about you in my book. I hope to do business with you in the future.

Thank you for the advice. Nice to do business with Mr. Bob, even though he wanted to charge me extra for saying Roll Tide.
