Hydraulic Steering

   / Hydraulic Steering #11
Hello, I have a Bobcat t136 trencher with a Kubota diesel engine. The problem I'm having is leaking hydraulic fluid underneath the steering wheel. I disassembled the steering wheel, column and coupling shaft, upper bushing seal and lower seal. Both of them are worn and cracked, but I can't find them anywhere. Does anybody have an idea where I might check? The Bobcat dealer tells me the seals are discontinued and all the seal suppliers in surrouding areas can't find them.
Thanks for any help.
Tom

Is it a four port steering valve with hyd cylinder steering?....or a one piece steering assy?

Yep, looks like an Eaton or Danfoss steering valve. Best to remove and look for a sticker or stamps of a model code. A good hydraulic shop should have oem seal kits or know where to order them.

It'll need complete disassembly to expose the inner pressure seal and to polish shaft and seal surfaces. If you diy just a tip, scratch or lightly score the outside of the housing plates to help you line up the sections when reassembling.
