Hydraulic system requirements?

Dylan, I believe your warranty is 2 yr or 2000 hr on the whole tractor and 3 yr on the engine. You should be well within your warranty period.

I think it's 3 years on the powertrain, which includes they tranny, axles, etc. - maybe that means the HST/hydraulic system is warrantied for that long since it powers the tractor? spencer200/techinny - any guidance?

Just talked to the head mechanic at my dealer. 2 yrs or 2000 hours. He seemed familar with the problem and suggested that since the whole transmission was covered with oil/dirt that the two ports at the top of the tranny could be loose and thus leaking. Offered to come and have a look or to bring it in and get it fixed, whenever I get done with the snow removal.
I'll keep it topped up until then. Thanks guys.

dylan,
Make sure you check to see if that white stuff is only on the opening. If you have water in the system you don't want to run the tractor untill it's been drained and the filters replaced.

I didn't want to "assume" that the stuff you saw up top wasn't down on the dip stick also.

Didn't see any on the dipstick. Fluid looked pretty good. I wiped up the opening and it has not reappeared yet.
Thanks
Dylan
