I have a 2005 DK35. I was using the Rhino Loader steady for an hour or so when the Hydraulic System Warning Lamp came on. I shut her down and took a break and the light went off and hasn't been on since. Anyone else have this happen to them, think the system got to hot from pushing brush piles?

If you ever have to use your tractor hard like that again, remove the side panels of the hood it will let the air flow better.
Some people even do this when brush hogging in the hot summer.

For an hour's worth of loader work? I've got to think the cooling system should be adequate to allow for much more loader work than that without extreme measures like removing body panels. Check your coolers for junk and be sure that the coolers are indeed getting warm to the touch with use. I have an actual OEM hydro fluid cooler in front of the radiator, do you? If not, maybe you'll need one.

I assume your hyd level is full. Also how many hours you have on your fluid and filters...

We've had people post threads like this before and the problem turned out to be that they didn't realize they need to clean the cooler and the radiator. There is a prescreen on the radiator that one cleans, and also the fins of the radiator and the cooler should be cleaned frequently.

There is no reason to overheat in such a small amt. of time unless your cooler is clogged.

You can use compressed air to gently blow out the radiator and cooler, but don't use high PSI settings on your air as the fins are fragile.

You can also use a soft brush being very careful not to bend the fins.

If you are always lugging the machine this could also happen.
Put the machine in a lower gear and keep you rpm's higher to increase the fan speed.

My DK 35 has no hydraulic cooler at the radiator.

NO

It shouldn't
Could you have a hydraulic valve sticking somewhere on relief causing the oil to overheat ??

Good point Vince, a remote valve left in the A or B position will heat the oil in no time pushing it through the PR valve continuously. The coller in front of Highbeams radiator is for his Hydrostat trans.

I think you were right, there was a fair amount of weed dander (if you will) on the screen. I cleaned it all out soon after the light went on wondering if it wasn't getting enough circulation. That seemed to remedy it, I just wanted to make sure I checked all the avenues. Thanks for the info fellas.
