Kubota B2400HSD
I recently bought a 2000 Kubota B2400HSD w FEL and a rear remote(single spool?). I added a Box and now want to hook up a tilt for finish grading. I picked up the cylinder and now I need to hook it up. I am attaching photos so you can see what I have.

The question I hope someone can help me with is how and where to hook up the hoses to the cylinder and the tractor hydraulic ports. My experiance with hydraulics is limited to hooking up hyd. motors to exsisting systems(replacement).

The attached file is of the valve.

The rear hyd. port has a bypass hose hooked to it as seen in attachment. Which hose from the valve hooks to the upper connection? Lower connection?

The only hose to the valve that is hooked up is the "OUT" port which is connected to the mid port to the transmission. This has a t connection that also has a hose going to the FEL.

This is the cylinder on the 3 pt .

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

This is my first tractor and so far it is a blast to drive. I am building a horse area on a 1 acre parcel next door to me that we recently bought.

You cannot operate that cylinder with your current setup. Someone before you removed the aux spool valve that would be used to operate a remote cylinder. The spool valve that you now must buy should have power beyond.

You connect the outlet of your spool valve the the line that goes to the transmission. You remove the hose from the rear hydraulic block and connect the top connection to the aux valve's inlrt. The power beyond from the aux valve goes to the lower connection of the rear hydraulic block. The work port hoses from the aux valve goes to the cylinder.

Warning, do not run the tractor without the hose that jumpers the rear hydraulic ports together.

I think it does have Power Beyond. It is labled PB. Correct? It might be hard to see in the photo, it is under the wing nut type connection.

OK if I am reading you correctly.

The power beyond (PB) connection goes to the lower output of the rear hyd. outlet. After removing the jumper.

The top connection of the rear block goes to the inlet.

A&B from the valve go to the cylinder.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Do you have an aux spool valve? Not your loader valve with the joystick, but a seperate valve with it's own actuating lever. Your pictures do not show one.

The loader valve does have power beyond.

If you do have a separate valve, not the loader valve, then it's outlet connects to the transmission as it is the return to tank line. It's inlet connects to the upper port on the hydraulic block and it's power beyond port connects to the bottom port on the block. The A/B ports are the work ports and they connect to the cylinder.

Yes, the valve shown is the aux. spooler valve. The loader valve is seperate.

Thank you that was what I was looking for. I will try it out tomorrow and let it be known.

I will be replacing this valve with a 2(or more) spool valve in the future. I have been reading the info on this site for info and can't believe the amount of quality info here.

Thanks again.

Your pictures confuse me - I never saw a lever to operate any ports, nor did I see any hyd connections that would be a rear remote set??????

To me it looks like you have a setup which runs either a backhoe _or_ a wood splitter which has it's _own_ hyd valve on the attachment. This is not a true hyd remote setup.

As I'm confused, I'm not sure what you have, and don't want to give advise - but be sure you have what you think you have. A real rear remote will have a hand lever, and 2 quick couplers at the back of the tractor. I saw none of that.

One of the pictures shows the rear hydraulic block. The Kubota aux rear hydralic block is not a set of remotes. It is a tap into the main hydraulic circuit to add a directional control valve that has power beyond. This is a standard optional part for B2400/2410 series and the B2710/B2910 tractors.

I agree that the other pictures are not too clear on exactly what is present on that tractor. I quess we will have to take the owners word for it.
