Any recommended brands/models for a hydraulic top link for a 5055E? I'm planning on just connecting it to one of the SCV connections. I'd like to get one with the lock to keep it in position when I'm not adjusting it.

Also, is there any concerns with using one with a quick hitch? I may go with a quick hitch down the road.

Fit Rite Hydraulics. And here is what I would be providing. If you don't get it from me, here is what you should be looking

A cat 2 top link with narrow cat 2 ball swivels at both ends. A 3" dia cylinder with a 1 1/2" dia rod having a working length of 19 1/4"- 27 1/4" similar to the unit on the left in the picture.

No issues with a full 3pt quick hitch.

The rear SCVs on these tractors have not been an issue regarding leak down. The issue with having a check valve is that makes the cylinder unable to make use of a float feature if you have that feature with your SCV.

The cylinder is available with the check valve, just not really needed for your model.;)

To add to Brian’s comment if you don’t find one with a narrow cat 2 ball you’ll need a grinder to make it fit. I went with one from Agristore USA and the check valve banjo fitting can also contact the top link bracket when raised causing damage/leaks. Ask me how I know. Other solution is buy a cylinder with the fittings oriented to the side (as it appears Brian’s is) vs top.

I ended up going with a Spare Parts Holland off of Amazon. I had to grind down the eye on the top side, but that only took about 15 minutes. I also removed the keeper so it wouldn't get jammed. Other than that, it seems to work well.

I tried it a little with the box blade. It makes hooking and unhooking with the quick attach easier and I really like being able to adjust the angle of attack as I go.

The Fit Rite setup looks nice, but I didn't want to wait for the lead time.
