Hydraulic Top Link for G-Series

That brings up a question regarding the 3PH. The hydraulic top link can act as "down pressure" in situations where the cylinder is fully extended and the attachment then tries to pick up the back of the tractor. I wonder if all 3PH are strong enough to absorb this unusual situation where the 3PH internal cylinder is being bottomed out in the reverse direction. May never be an issue, just wondering.

Guess it would depend on the tractor.

When the top cylinder extends the implement will add force to the lower links that are free to raise.

Never had any problems with my hydraulic top link that came on a 3 point forklift and got used on everything else:

Not sure if I made my question clear in that, yes, the lower links are free to raise but only up to a point where something "bottoms out". The top link cylinder, if it has any stroke left at that point, tries to raise the tractor's rear wheels off the ground. The internal piston of the 3PH probably reaches the end of its stroke and acts as the "stop" on some or most tractors.

At first glance, I thought you were trying to pick your house up off the ground.
