My manual finally arrived monday and I spent the evening reading it. The Beaver owner that posted earlier is correct, the Buck and Beaver have a common sump for the working of the final drives, transmission and PTO functions. They use 80-90 wt. according too the manual. The word hydraulic,s I will reserve that word until I install a front end loader, its sump is up front on the engine and I do not have any hydraulic implements on my tractor yet. The Buck and Beaver works off of the timing gear and engine speed for the fluids in the tranny,. final drives and pto functions. I placed a entire gallon of oil in the engine, Iam a little bit over, so the engine does hold close to a gallon but not quite. Get down to a quart in the gallon than check each time you add.
I did start the engine and I did clean the hydraulic screen on the side of the tranmission. All is well now.
