I was thinking maybe if there was some type of 'Y' valve, where you could have both connected and switch the "y' . (brain cramp)
Allan..
It's called a diverter. On most 12v diverters you choose which leg of the "Y" you want with a switch on the joystick.

Kenny,

The manual diverter looks interesting (and cheap, like me!). I assume there are six openings on it, two in, four out. The lever selects which output ports are "active".

Further, to plumb this into the tractor, I'd take the two curl supply lines and feed the input ports on the diverter valve. One pair of outputs would go to the loader curl circuit, the other pair would go to the plow SA pistons. Seems this would allow for a simple QD set up for the plow lines, the curl lines would just remain in place. Do I have it right?

One last one....I understand that the JD will supply too much flow to the SA plow pistons. Would this be the part I'd need to restrict flow? Surplus Center Item Detail

I'm buying the tubing/angle iron tomorrow, will start that fabrication. I'll post pictures of the project on TBN, similar to what you did.

Thanks for the help.

Mark

SPECIAL THANKS Kenny ,
I saved to look at in a few minutes.Im glad I now have the understanding about my situation. Its been one of those things that make you say HMMM for many years, Knowing there is a reason and explanation, but dont quite know what..
Geeze that sounds like a whole new thread to me.
I havent had a flow restrictor problem with my set up , the 1/4 hoses restrict it down, I do idle it right down when I turn the plow, this helps.
Thanks again
Allan

I had a manual diverter valve to run my grapple on my old Ford 1700. It worked, but was real clumsy. When I got my JD, I put a Fasse valve kit (same as WR Long, dealer had Fasse, not Long), it is much slicker, and makes operating the grapple or snow blade sooooooooooooooooo much easier. If you can swing it, go with the electric diverter setup (like Long or Fasse setup), you wont be sorry.
