Hydraulics Problem - Pic Attached

( So, when you changed the fluid and cleaned the screen, it didn't change the condition, right? Could be some trash behind the drop rate lever, I would remove and clean behind that. )

Right.

But, the drop rate lever is part of the piston assembly I removed. It's all clean.

Well, I gave up and took it into a local Yanmar "dealer". There were several issues his mechanics quickly discovered. Mainly, the control lever on the right side of the 3 pt hitch that switches from "draft" mode to normal(?) wasn't doing anything when you moved it. It was stuck in draft mode.

Plus the square bar that presses against the piston was pretty much frozen, and not moving correctly. (See earlier photos).

Glad to see you're getting the problem taken care of. What mod. yanmar is it ? is it a gray or us mod? I don't think my 3110 has a draft mode. If it does I can't get it to work.

It's a Yanmar YM2500. The draft select lever is on the right side of the 3pt hitch. A small lever roughly 4 or 5 inches long.

the only lever on the rt. side of mine is the one to raise & lower the 3 point.I thought yanmar dealers wouldn't work on these tractors.I guess some will.

Hi Nathan,
I have a YM 3000 that is basicly the same machine as your 2500. I've never had the Draft control explained in any of the manuals or questions I've asked. I have the small lever just to the right of the top link bracket. Linkage looks to be all there. Do you have any idea how this thing works and what it is supposed to do??? How would it be set for Draft control and what implements could best use this feature??? The only thing I do know about this is that if you lift the lower 3 point arms far enough by hand you can feel the hyd system take over and continue to lift the arms??? Not sure what this is for, any info appreciated, thanks,
