I'm setting up a new implement which will be using a new hydraulic cylinder and new hydraulic lines. Question: Do the cylinder and lines need to be primed with hydraulic fluid or will the tractor's hydraulic system (NH TC40D) bleed off the air which might otherwise be introduced?

Open center systems are self bleeding, closed center will require bleeding. I am not sure which is installed on that tractor , call FNH dealer or check your manual.

According to the manual, it is an open center system. Sounds like I can "bolt it up" and go. Thank you.
