I'll be coming up on just about two years since I changed both filters and hydro oil to mobil 424. I maybe have 130 hours since. My manual seems a bit vague. I take it trans oil and filters every 200 hours? Just wondering what you guys do? BTW fluid is super clear.

Yep, my CK30HST has a 200 hr interval recommendation but after breakin and full drain I installed Amsoil Tractor/Hydraulic oil and new filters. At 400 hrs I had the oil analyzed and it came back good for continued service. I changed the filters, topped up the oil and will sample in 200 hrs…But you’re good for a bit yet. However, why not get a UOA kit and sample your HST fluid at 200 hours or so. You might be able to extend your interval too. The report would have good info on the condition of both fluid and equipment.

Who did you get the UOA kit from? I've been thinking of doing this on my cars too since each is unigue; a 15 yr old straight 4L 6 cyl, small hi reving 1.8L 4 cyl and turbo flat 2.5L 4.

Black stone labs is pretty popular and most heavy equipment dealers will also have kits available. However, I use Oil Analyzers through the Amsoil website as it’s their oil that I’m using. The reports are quite detailed.

My Kubota manual says 400 hours. I watch it - If it is not crystal clear (hard to see) then I would change it. Otherwise, 400 hours. If it is clean and clear, 200 seems really soon. But then, Kubota udt2 cost $110 a pail and takes 3 pails. So cost a lot with filter to make the change. Especially if it is not necessary. What does the Koiti manual say?

My OP Manual say change hydraulic fluid every 600 hours. That's exactly what I did. I also changed the hydraulic fluid filters @ 600 hours.

In post 2 I advise that my Kioti interval is 200 hours, which I think does comes quite quickly, for me anyways. I agree that if it looks good it’s “probably” still good?! But UOA will verify what direction to take. I don’t hook up anything else to the remotes since I’ve sold the wood splitter.

New Holland Workmaster 50 change filter at first 50 hours and then filter and hydraulic fluid every 600 hours.

I have given my opinion so often I sometimes feel like a broken record. (I suppose I would still be dating myself were I to say "endless loop".)

Around $30 for an analysis from a reputable lab is much cheaper than an hydraulic oil change and is pretty cheap peace of mind that you are not harming the system.
